# Border and RGB glow

Give the recording a thin line or a pane of glass around its edge, or an animated ring of colour. Both sit outside the picture and never cover it.

Some of this is part of Studio, the paid plan.

Where to find it: Video editor › Pro › Scene › Frame

## Border

In Simple, the **Border** row offers **None**, **Line** and **Glass**. In Pro, **Scene › Frame › Border** sets its width and look. Thin reads as glass, thick as a mat.

> **Tip:** If a wide border runs off the frame, raise **Padding**.

## RGB glow

A travelling sweep of colour along the recording’s edge, on Studio. Off until you turn it on in **Scene › Frame › Glow**. The camera bubble can wear the same light. On the free plan its switch wears a crown.

- **Colours**: **Rainbow**, **Sunset**, **Ocean** or **Iris**, or **Custom** to pick every colour.
- **Placement**: **Inside** spills light over the picture, **Outside** grows outward, **Both** is a full neon edge.
- **Thickness and Halo**: How wide the lit edge is, and how far its light spreads.
- **Intensity and Opacity**: How bright the halo is, and how see-through.
- **Cycle**: Seconds for the colours to travel once around. **Still** freezes them.
- **Bands**: How many times the colours repeat around the frame.
- **Edge line and Reverse**: A hard line at the edge too, and the colours running the other way.
