# Delete your data

Settings › Your data › Delete data removes chosen kinds of things, or everything. It offers a backup first, and deleting everything asks you to type delete.

Where to find it: Settings › Your data › Delete data

1. Open **Settings › Your data** and choose **Delete data**.
2. Tick what to delete. Nothing is ticked to begin with. Deleting a video takes its guide with it.
3. In Chrome, choose whether to **Also delete the extension’s copies**.
4. If PointerCam asks **Back it up first?**, you can save a backup before going on.
5. Confirm. To delete everything, type delete when asked.

> **Warning:** Deleted data can’t be brought back.

> **Tip:** To delete one or two things, use **Delete** on the card in the library instead. See [Delete things](https://pointercam.com/help/delete).
