# Download or copy a guide

Press Download and choose PDF, Word, a web page or Markdown. Or press Copy to paste the guide, pictures and all, into a document, a wiki or an email.

Where to find it: Guide editor › Download

1. Press **Download** at the top of the guide editor.
2. Under **Format**, choose one.
3. Press the download button, or **Copy**.

Format:

- **PDF**: For sharing and printing.
- **Word**: A .docx, for editing the text afterwards.
- **Web page**: A page and a folder of its pictures, in a zip. Put it on any site as it is, or open it in a browser, on a phone too.
- **Markdown**: For a docs site, a wiki or a README: the text and a folder of its pictures, in a zip.

## Copy and paste

**Copy** puts the whole guide on your clipboard, pictures included. Paste it into a document, a wiki or an email. The sheet says **Copied, ready to paste**.

- PDF and Word files open on a title block, with an overview that links to each step when the guide has four or more.
- The web page has a table of contents that follows you down the page, and each step can be linked to.
- Pictures are saved as JPEG or PNG, whichever keeps them clear and small.
- PointerCam remembers the format you used last.

> **Note:** On the free plan, a guide’s pages carry the small PointerCam mark. Studio removes it.
