# Export one piece on its own

When a video is made of several pieces, pick one on the timeline and export just that piece, as it is, without the intro or the opening.

Where to find it: Video editor › Export › Export just the picked piece

1. Click a piece on the timeline to pick it.
2. Open the arrow beside **Export**. It appears while a piece is picked.
3. Choose **Export just the picked piece**.

The file is that piece’s length. The logo intro and outro and the video’s opening and closing belong to the whole video, so they are left off.
