# I can’t find PointerCam in Chrome

Chrome hides new extensions behind the puzzle piece. Click it, then the pin beside PointerCam, and its button stays in the toolbar.

Only in the Chrome extension. The Mac app lives in the menu bar, at the top right of your screen. See [Install the Mac app](https://pointercam.com/help/install-mac-app).

Where to find it: Chrome toolbar › Puzzle piece

1. Click the puzzle piece at the top right of Chrome.
2. Click the pin beside **PointerCam**.

## The popup says to open a web page first

Chrome does not let extensions record its own pages, like a new tab or Settings. Open any website and click PointerCam again.

## Still not there?

Open chrome://extensions and check that PointerCam is installed and switched on.
