# What is free, and what Studio adds

Free has both apps and every editor, videos up to 10 minutes, guides of any length and your camera as a bubble. Studio removes the mark and lifts the limits.

Some of this is part of Studio, the paid plan.

Free:

- **The Mac app, the Chrome extension and the web editor**: Record on your Mac or in Chrome, and edit in the same editor.
- **The video editor, the guide and the screenshot tools**: Close-ups, framing, cuts, captions and sounds, guides as PDF, Word, a web page or Markdown, or copied to paste.
- **Videos up to 10 minutes, guides of any length**: As many as you like, exported up to 1080p at 30 fps as MP4, WebM or GIF.
- **Your camera, as a bubble**: In the corner you pick, in the shape, size and ring you choose.
- **A small PointerCam mark on videos and guides**: Our icon in a corner, and screenshots come out clean.

Studio adds:

- **No PointerCam mark, or your own logo in its place** (Studio): And your logo can open and close each video, in motion.
- **Videos of any length** (Studio): The 10-minute limit comes off.
- **Export up to 4K at 60 fps** (Studio): As far as your computer can encode.
- **Every camera layout, changing as the video plays** (Studio): Side by side, TV presenter, camera only and 8 more.
- **A camera that moves itself, or goes anywhere you put it** (Studio): Out of the way of every zoom and click, or dragged, sized and turned on the preview.
- **The RGB glow** (Studio): A ring of moving colour around the video and the camera.
- **Guides whose steps move** (Studio): Each step of the web page plays its click, from the same take.

## Where you meet Studio

A small crown marks every choice that needs Studio: 4K in the export sheet, your logo, the camera layouts beyond the bubble, the smart camera, the RGB glow, and the styles that use any of them. You can see them all on the free plan. Pressing one explains what it adds and how to get it.

On the free plan your camera is a bubble in the corner you pick, at one of three sizes, in any shape and ring. A click on it in the preview does nothing: dragging, resizing, turning and cropping it are Studio.

On the free plan, a video stops itself at 10 minutes and is saved, and a take for a guide runs as long as you need. Videos and guides carry a small PointerCam mark in a corner. Screenshots come out clean on every plan.

## What it costs

Studio is $10 a month billed yearly ($120 a year), or $20 month to month, at a launch price kept for as long as you stay subscribed. A 7-day pass is $9, paid once. Subscription payments can be refunded within 14 days, and so can a pass whose key has never been entered. [Pricing](https://pointercam.com/pricing) has the details.
