# Hide things in a guide

Covers from the video carry over to every step they show up in. Add more from the guide: click something the take recorded, or drag a box.

Where to find it: Guide editor › Timeline › Cover

1. Press **Cover** on the guide’s timeline, or **Draw a box** beside **Hide something** under **Privacy** in Simple.
2. Click something on the picture to hide it while it shows, or drag a box.
3. Drag the cover’s ends on the timeline to hide it on more steps or fewer.

- Choose how it hides, as in the video: blur, pixelate or a solid cover.
- Anything you hid in the video is already hidden on every step it appears in.
- If a cover hides most of what a step clicked, its heading leaves the name out.
- Press `⌫` to delete a selected cover.
