# Find your way around the guide editor

The open step’s picture fills the middle, its words sit under it, the steps run along the strip below, and the column on the left sets the whole guide.

- **The header**: The guide’s name, **Make a video** or **Back to video**, **Preview** and **Download**.
- **The column**: In Simple, what every step looks like, the guide’s look, its callouts and the document. In Pro, the open step’s layers, what is on every picture, and the document.
- **The stage**: The open step’s picture, with previous and next on either side, and the step’s actions in its top corner.
- **The step’s words**: Its title, its text, and an optional tip, warning or note.
- **The strip**: Every step, in order. Click one to open it.
- **The timeline**: Where each step comes from in the take, and what is hidden.

The strip and the timeline fold away for a bigger picture. The column’s summary says **Almost ready** while there are steps without words, and **Ready to download** when there are none.

- `← →`: Previous or next step, while nothing is selected
- `PgUp PgDn`: Previous or next step
- `Home End`: First or last step
