# Marker, spotlight and framing

Set what every step’s picture shows: a box, ring or spot on the click, a spotlight that dims the rest, and a close-up or the whole screen. Change any one step on its own.

Where to find it: Guide editor › Simple › On every step

## On every step

- **Click marker**: **Box** around what was clicked, a **Ring** around the spot, a tinted **Spot**, or **Off**.
- **Spotlight**: Dims everything around the click: **Soft**, **Medium** or **Strong**, or set by hand with **Strength**.
- **Framing**: **Close-up** crops each picture around what was clicked, close enough to read. **Whole screen** shows the whole screen.

## One step on its own

1. Open the step, and switch to **Pro**.
2. Under **This step**, change its marker, spotlight or zoom. A tag marks the setting as this step’s own. Click it to follow the guide’s setting again.

**Where the screenshot sits** moves the picture within its frame, or centres it again.
