# Change the camera layout during the video

A layout change is a stretch of the video where the frame is arranged differently, such as opening on you and then sharing the screen. It eases in and out over 450 ms.

Some of this is part of Studio, the paid plan.

Where to find it: Video editor › Pro › Timeline › Layout lane

1. Move the playhead to where the new layout should start.
2. In Pro, press **+** on the timeline and choose **Layout change**, or double-click the **Layout** lane. A card appears on the lane at the playhead.
3. With the card selected, pick its layout under **Arrangement**.
4. Drag the card’s ends to set how long it lasts.

- Outside a card, the video’s own layout holds.
- On the free plan a card can move or hide the bubble. A card in any other layout is Studio.
- A card can have its own corners. Its border, shadow and mirror stay the same as the rest of the video.
- Choose how the card slides in and out, or **Cut** to snap instead.
- **Match the whole video again** turns a card back into the video’s own layout.

- `⇧X`: Divide the layout card at the playhead

> **Tip:** The timeline’s **⋯** menu has **Remove all camera changes**.
