# Open Settings

Settings has four parts: Appearance, Plan & billing, Your data, and Help & contact. Open it from the gear in any editor or library header.

Where to find it: Video editor › Header › Settings

**In the Mac app:**

Press `⌘,`, or choose **Settings…** from the PointerCam menu, the menu bar icon or the recording toolbar’s **Options**.

**In the Chrome extension:**

Click the gear at the top of the library or of any editor. Settings opens at [pointercam.com/settings](https://pointercam.com/settings).

- **Appearance**: Light, dark, or the same as your computer.
- **Plan & billing**: Your plan, your licence key, and how long it works offline.
- **Your data**: Back up, restore from a backup, or delete what PointerCam keeps.
- **Help & contact**: Report a problem or tell us what you think, from right here, or email support@pointercam.com. Where to read more and which version you have. In the Mac app, also the permissions PointerCam has, opening at login, and how it updates.

**Back** returns you to where you opened Settings from.
