# Simple and Pro

Simple holds what the editor did and the choices most videos need, one click each. Pro has every setting, under the same names. Switch with the pill in the header.

Where to find it: Video editor › Header › Simple | Pro

## Simple

Simple opens on a verdict: **Ready to export** when there is nothing left to do, or what PointerCam set up for you. Under it, in groups:

- **Done for you**: The zooms made from your clicks, the pointer and the mark a click leaves, drawings, and captions with their size and place.
- **Suggested**: What PointerCam found and did not do, such as long pauses or private fields, for you to take or dismiss.
- **Privacy**: **Hide something**: draw a box over a name, a number or a tab, or on a Chrome take point at it.
- **Look**: Styles, the background (six to pick from, any colour or a picture of your own), the video’s shape, the frame, its border, a window around it, and how the video opens.
- **Camera**: Where your camera sits, its shape, size and ring, and whether it moves itself. Only on takes with a camera.
- **Brand**: Your logo, and its intro and outro.
- **Sound**: Your voice, when the take has one, music, and click and key sounds.

Under the preview, Simple’s timeline has **Split**, **Cut** and **Add**. Split divides the video at the playhead, and a piece you click can be removed with `⌫`. Cut takes out a second, which you widen by its ends, or drag across the footage to mark a stretch to remove. Add puts a zoom, a cover, a speed change or a callout at the playhead.

## Pro

Pro has every setting, in seven areas: **Scene**, **Camera**, **Zoom & Motion**, **Cursor**, **Cuts & Privacy**, **Audio & Captions** and **Brand & Export**. Each area opens into sections, one at a time, and each section’s line says what it is set to now.

- **Changed** shows only the sections you have changed from a new video, with a count.
- The search field at the top finds any setting. See [Search the settings](https://pointercam.com/help/search-settings).
- The timeline gains its toolbar and every lane.

> **Note:** Both modes change the same video. Anything you set in Simple is in Pro under the same name, with every number behind it. The editor remembers the mode you used last.
