# Numbered steps on a screenshot

Drop numbered badges on the parts that matter. When you reorder them, the numbers follow, so you never renumber by hand.

Where to find it: Screenshot editor › Tools › Step

1. Press `N`, or choose **Step** on the tool bar.
2. Click where the first badge goes. Press `N` again for the next one.
3. To change the order, reorder the badges in **Layers**. The numbers update by themselves.
