# Storage, and the extension’s copies

The bar at the foot of the library shows how much room PointerCam uses on this computer. Back up from there, and see what the extension still holds.

Where to find it: Library › Storage on this device

**Storage on this device** shows how much your library takes and how much room is left. In Chrome, the browser decides how much room each website gets, apart from your disk’s free space, and PointerCam asks Chrome not to clear it.

- **Back up** saves a copy of your library to a file. See [Back up and restore](https://pointercam.com/help/back-up-and-restore).
- **Extension copies** are the recordings the Chrome extension still keeps after handing them to the library, in case a copy went wrong. You can remove them once you have checked your library.

> **Tip:** To free room, delete takes you no longer need. The delete question says how much each one frees.
